To be honest i had hopes for the new system that it would be easily possible to get through with everything in a relative fast time and that the huge amounts of points would be enought to enable players to go into at least 2 roles simulataniously with actives being used as a choice depending on what role you want to pick, reducing repsec needs for players. Sadly, increasing the cap all at once to 3600 may do the opposite to ESO. WOW increased its player base by doing the big level crunch from 120 to 50 and then 10 more levels with the latest expansion. To be honest, as much as I want more progression for veteran players it may drive away new players completely. These are pure estimations based on somewhat limited knowledge about the new curves, so would suggest to take them with a grain of salt. Whats even worse than this is that you need alot of XP to only fill a single role ith CP, since we still dont have multispec we cant forget it to ever filling mroe than a single role without swapping CP around.ġ) It will take you a year or two if you will focus on grinding each day for 8 hoursĢ) It will take a new casual player years. For the majority of players we are talking years to reach 3-3.5 Billion XP. Now this brings up some interesting questions:ġ.) How am i ever supposed to reach the cap in the first place?Ģ.) How is any new player ever supposed to catch up to me once iam there?įor comparison, the current 810 cap is ~200 Million XP. If its the 1200 cap i would need 3.0 billion XP. If the 1020 cap stays i would need an additional 3.5 billion XP to reach the cap. Hotfix (): Hunter pets should now have their talents refunded when a hunter switches talent specs, even if they are dismissed at the time.Iam currently at 1350 CP, i roughtly earned ~670 Million XP (~500 Million with 1020 cap and ~400 Million with 1200CP cap).Patch 4.0.3a (): Cost reduced from 100 to 10, level requirement reduced from 40 to 30.Primary spec / /talent/primary / /talent/primary Secondary spec / /talent/secondary / /talent/secondary Patch changes The initial release of dual spec also impacted the armory website. Druids' alternate forms use the same action bars for both specs. Inversely, respeccing will not modify any talents or glyphs you have set to either specialization.Įach spec has its own set of action bars. Changing talent and glyphs does not require the purchase of a respec - however you will need or to remove one of your choices, or you can visit a class trainer and pay a fee to wipe all of your talent or glyph choices. Now any talent or glyph changes you make will apply to this specialization. To set talents or glyphs, first select the specialization (primary or secondary) and activate the specialization. Be sure the specialization you wish to respec is active, then purchase the respec from the trainer. Specializations can be changed by visiting the appropriate class trainer. Switching between your specializations is free, but if you want to exchange one of your specializations for another (such as changing your mage's primary specialization from Arcane to Fire), you will require a class trainer, and will have to pay a fee. Since action bars change between specs, it may be necessary to add it to your action bar in each spec.Įven if you have purchased dual specialization, there is still a cost to respec. Ever forgot to switch your equipment when you changed your specialization MultiSpec aims at this and gives you a new button within your character frame which. When you click it, the macro will change your spec. Just create a new macro, insert the text below and throw it into your bar. Players cannot switch between specs during combat, or while in Battlegrounds or Arena (except during Preparation, before the Battleground/Arena match begins). Once the 5 second cast is completed, your glyphs, action bars, and talents will all be restored to your other specialization. Some buffs are also removed by switching. Switching between talent specs takes 5 seconds, and all mana/rage/energy are reset to zero by this process. To switch specialization, select your currently inactive spec's pane, and click the 'Activate' button. The currently inactive spec's pane will appear greyed-out, and feature an 'Activate' button, which can be used to switch to that specialization. Each tab's icon will reflect the specialization chosen. Once you have purchased dual spec, there will be two tabs at the top right of the Specialization & Talents interface, representing your Primary and Secondary specializations. (A few class trainers, such as those in Dalaran, do not offer talent reset or dual spec.) The cost is 10. To purchase dual spec, you must be at least level 30, and can purchase the ability from your class trainer.
